Description

This course is designed for academic staff to develop a deep understanding of competency-based education and contemporary innovations in teaching and learning. It explores the theoretical foundations of the competence approach, innovative pedagogical strategies, digital transformation in education, and methods for assessing competencies in higher education. The course emphasizes practical application, enabling academic staff to redesign courses, improve teaching effectiveness, and align educational practices with institutional and labor market demands.

Learning objectives / expected outcomes

The course aims to help participants understand the conceptual foundations of the competence approach in education; align subject content with competency frameworks and learning outcomes and apply innovative teaching methodologies in academic practice. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to apply innovative teaching methods such as blended learning, flipped classroom, project-based learning, and active learning strategies; use digital technologies and AI-supported tools to enhance teaching effectiveness, and critically evaluate educational innovations and their impact on learning quality.
