Description
The course introduces coaching as an approach to supporting students' learning, motivation, and personal development. It focuses on practical coaching techniques that educators can use to encourage active participation, independent thinking, self-reflection, and responsibility for learning. Participants will explore how to integrate coaching principles into everyday teaching practices.
Learning objectives / expected outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
– Understand the basic principles of coaching in education.
– Distinguish between traditional teaching, mentoring, and coaching.
– Apply coaching communication and questioning techniques.
– Support students in setting goals, solving problems, and reflecting on their learning.
– Use coaching techniques to enhance student motivation, engagement, and responsibility for learning.
