Description
Developing ethical conduct is clearly a necessity, given that integrity and quality of activity are prioritised within the academic environment.
The initiation and implementation of scientific research is an aspect influenced by numerous changes, especially as a result of the digitalisation of contemporary society and the evolution of communication technologies, as well as the growing popularisation of innovation.
Ethical procedures must be known and understood, and accredited higher education institutions, research institutes, units and structures make a major contribution to guaranteeing research ethics.
Proactive approaches, supported by reflexivity, awareness and behavioural integrity on the part of students and their teachers, work better than coercive, sanction-oriented measures. It is therefore important to create a climate of mutual respect, trust, transparency and cooperation in achieving well-defined objectives.
