Established in 1978, the University of Udine (UNIUD) is the only Italian university created through popular initiative. It offers 40+ undergraduate programs, 38 master’s programs, and 3 single-cycle degrees across seven campuses in Udine, Gorizia, Pordenone, and Gemona.

UNIUD provides extensive resources: 253 classrooms, 7 libraries, 365 laboratories. Internationalization is a priority with 541 bilateral Erasmus and global mobility agreements. Research excellence is reflected in 80,000+ publications, 118 patents, and collaborations with national and international institutions.
